TLC Academy has a toddler, primary and kindergarten program for your children ages 18 months to 6 years old. We have beautiful preschool classes which offer part-time and full-time programs and a large kindergarten classroom. The rooms are big, bright and equipped with learning materials that will stimulate your child's desire for learning. Look throughout the classrooms and see students working. The rooms are quiet, but productive. By looking at the classrooms you will observe the difference between the traditional schools' teaching and our totally individualized program of instruction. We believe that every child is different and has special talents and strengths. We respect these differences by challenging your child based on his needs, so each child moves at his own pace until mastering a concept.

Working independently on the floor.

Some children are working at the tables, some on mats on the floor, some work independently, some with friends. The teacher observes, records, circulates, gives individual lessons and helps children when necessary. The other adult in the room is the assistant who overviews, redirects, makes sure that everyone is on task, helps individual students and maintains a quiet and busy working environment.

The hands-on approach that you observe makes the abstract a concrete! The Montessori Math Material, Language Arts Reading Program, Science Experiments, Geography, etc. help your child toward the use of manipulative materials and into real-world problem solving.
