Toddler Program
TLC’s Toddler
program offers very young children a unique environment where each child
has the freedom to explore his/her natural curiosity.
Freedom in a safe space is crucial to the toddler program; however, it
is always tempered by two important limits that will be beneficial for a
life time: respect for self and others, and respect for the environment.
At TLC your toddler is given the opportunity to work in the development
of language skills, art, and music, sensorial and practical life. These
activities give him/her the chance to develop skills to care for
his/herself and his/her environment in the following ways; control of
movement, coordination, independence, grace, and courtesy.
Sensorial- colors, shapes, dimensions, tactile, auditory, taste, smell
Practical life- real
life skill, dressing, toilet training, grooming, carrying things,
feeding him/herself, cleaning, grace & courtesy
Movement- freedom to move around for large motor coordination, walking
the line, climbing, playing outside
Language skills- the primary language development is the acquisition of
the language connected to their observations and sense training.
Stories, singing, discussions and dialogues, as well as special
materials for more abstract vocabulary
Art &
Music- appreciation of art, simple creative art & crafts, listening to a
variety of music, introduction to rhymes, moving to music, singing
songs, special music time
